We are committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We believe that it is possible to create high-quality products that are also good for the planet. Here are some of the ways we are working to reduce our environmental impact.

RECYCLE:  We always keep in mind that recycled products may not be as safe and strong as new products so we concentrate on things we can do that never compromise safety. For example, we have found a way to easily reupholster seats with our retro-fit marine-grade leatherette covers. This allows us to extend the life of our products and reduce waste.

We also return the bulk of all packaging to our manufacturing partners in New Zealand. This reduces the amount of waste that goes to landfill by 50%.

REDUCE:  We have reduced the amount of material used per suspension by more than 50% in our new FLEXpod-based products. We have also found a more efficient way to pack suspensions in a more compact way, which allows us to fit more contents in the same or even smaller sized boxes. This helps us to reduce the amount of packaging material we use.

REUSE:  We have increased the life of most plastic parts by over 100% by seeking out better materials and performing accelerated testing on them. We also re-use supplier packaging as internal packers of our own to protect and wrap the suspensions to keep them as safe as possible during transit. This helps us to reduce the amount of waste we produce.

OFFSET:  One of the materials that we are switching to is excellent at sequestering carbon. Each suspension seat from now on will remove and sequester at least 1kg of CO2 from the atmosphere. We also put a percentage of our freight cost into a carbon offsetting program.

We are committed to continuous improvement and we are always looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact.
